Newsroom Internships - Seattle, WA - Internship

Every year, The Seattle Times offers a series of paid summer internships to outstanding students eager to build a career in journalism. • Write interesting accurate, balanced and well-researched stories on a variety of beats under the Features umbrella, from the Arts to Food, Culture and Outdoors. Our interns act as regular staff members, filing a mix of breaking news stories alongside in-depth reported features.
  • Meet deadlines and regularly communicate with your direct editor.
  • Conceive and pitch original stories that appeal to our audience and work with your editor to develop them for publication.
