The Seattle Times Media Solutions, which provides a broad range of multimedia services (as well as print and digital mail), is actively seeking a dynamic Account Executive to grow outside sales in the Seattle region! As a member of STMS, our sales team knows that attitude, collaboration, and productivity are the keys to success. While the idea of selling advertising solutions to businesses of all sizes might scare some people, the successful candidate will be fearlessly proactive while chasing, tracking, and generating new business.
Given that The Seattle Times reaches more Northwest adults than any other local media, this role will be primarily involved in leveraging our platforms and full suite of services: mobile, social, SEM/SEO, web services, programmatic, branded content, and much more. In doing so, successful applicants will uncover key decision makers and build a pipeline for future business through cold-calling and prospecting.
Experience: at least two years advertising sales experience preferred, but not required.
Education: college degree (or combination of comparable work experience)
Exposure to digital sales proposing solutions.
Able to identify, qualify, generate, and track new business
Demonstrated persuasive, negotiation, and closing skills
Comfortable cold-calling potential clients
Ability to manage and grow a book of existing business
Preference for applicants with B2B sales with media solution services
