The Seattle Times, the Pulitzer Prize-winning news organization, is hiring for a strong up-and-coming Maintenance Mechanic to join the Print Operations team in our new facility in Kent, WA. Fondly referred to as a Machinist in our company, your duties will include (but are not limited to) maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production-related equipment. This is a great growth opportunity for someone looking to grow into a Mechanic role and gain valuable experience.

Successful applicants must be available to work any shift (day, swing, or night shift - including Saturdays and Sundays).
This union role requires local union membership and dues, in addition to a post-offer drug screen (which includes marijuana) for controlled substances as a condition of employment. Employees must also provide their own personal basic machinist and hand tools.
